Lourmarin market in Provence – a feast for the senses

imageimageThe Friday market in Lourmarin was the most diverse so far — gorgeous vegetables and lovely fruits, meat and fish, Provençal linens and woven baskets, local artists displaying their pottery, and one of the things I was searching for — lavender honey!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such gorgeous asparagus!
Who wants to go to Provence with me just to go to the market and then go home to cook?  Of course we’ll add cheese and wine!
This display of berries is a work of art!
Love this hotel sign and the colors of the outside walls and the blue shutters

Lourmarin shops are drop dead gorgeous before you even get in the door!

If you look up the definition of “bucolic,” I think this is what it would look like.
On to Lauris for dinner where we met Bernard, the owner of of Le Table de Margot, a delightful man and gracious host.
